Derivative Type
The idea behind this exercise was to take a popular typeface and see how much I could change it while keeping every letter consistent with the rest of the family. I decided to use Futura, since it has regained prominence in the last decade to see how many variations I could make.

Futura is a very popular geometric sans-serif typeface created in 1927 by Paul Renner.
For this exploration, I tried to focus on hairline strokes to take as much of the solid typeface away while still keeping the style recognizable.
For this variation, I went fully into the geometric styling. I worked on taking away as many of the letter counters away while still making it a readable type.
This version took influence from circuitry, showing both the full weight of the original typeface and thinnest possible stroke on each letter.
